AMS Solutions, Inc. has been serving medical practices across the United States since 1992. The company was started by a group of practicing physicians who were tired of watching their own collections slip through the cracks of in-house billing. They built AMS to be the company they wished they could hire — one that understood medicine before it tried to understand billing.
Leadership: Madison Gardner, President. AMS Solutions, Inc. operates under a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every client practice.
Today, AMS partners with independent and small-group practices nationwide. We specialize in the specialties our founders came from: cardiology, OB/GYN, neurology, family practice, and the full range of independent physician groups. We are physician-founded and built around the belief that medical billing should be a partnership, not a vendor relationship.
What We Do
AMS provides end-to-end revenue cycle management — eligibility verification, prior authorization support, charge entry, claim scrubbing, payment posting, denial management, AR follow-up, patient billing, and reporting. Every part of the cycle, owned by one accountable team. We integrate with the EHR and practice management software you already use (Epic, CureMD, MedEZ, RXNT, Kipu Health, and others), so onboarding doesn’t mean ripping anything out.
Signed BAA. AAPC-Certified. Physician-Led.
AMS operates under signed Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with every client practice. PHI access is role-restricted, audit-logged, and routed through encrypted channels. Our coding and billing staff hold
AAPC credentials (CPC, CPB), and we invest in continuous education so the team stays current as CPT, ICD-10, and payer policy evolve year over year. When CMS publishes a final rule or a payer updates a policy bulletin, our team gets the brief — and your claims reflect it before the change becomes a denial pattern.
Specialty Expertise
While AMS serves practices across the full range of outpatient medicine, we go deep in:
- Cardiology — cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, electrophysiology, and the complex prior-authorization landscape for advanced cardiac imaging.
- OB/GYN — the global obstetric package, antepartum and postpartum split billing, well-woman visits, and the 2027 transition away from bundled maternity codes.
- Neurology — EMG and NCS pro-tech splits, EEG billing, Botox for chronic migraine, infusion therapy, and the unusually high denial rates that come with neurology coding.
- Family Practice & Primary Care — chronic care management (CCM), annual wellness visits (AWVs), remote patient monitoring (RPM), transitional care management (TCM), and the new Advanced Primary Care Management (APCM) bundled service.
When your specialty is in our wheelhouse, we are not learning your codes — we know them, we know the denials that come with them, and we know which payer requires which modifier for which procedure.
Why Practices Switch to AMS
Most of our clients are practices that have outgrown an in-house biller, fired a previous outsourced billing company, or are simply tired of watching their A/R age while their staff is buried in claim resubmissions. The patterns we see most often: aging A/R that climbed past 60 days and stuck there, denial rates above 10% that nobody had time to root-cause, missed coding for CCM/AWV/TCM revenue sitting on the table, and reporting so opaque the practice owner couldn’t tell where the money was going.
The first thirty days of any AMS engagement look the same: we audit your last 90 days of claims, identify the patterns driving denials, build a transition plan that doesn’t disrupt cash flow, and stand up monthly reporting so you can see what’s changing — clean claim rate, days in AR, denial rate, and net collection rate, with the specific actions our team took during the period.
